Columbus , OH December 13, 2006) Don DeVere, President of local
real estate development Company DeVere LLC, announced today that
his latest project 225 North Fourth was honored at the 2006 American
Institute of Architects annual awards dinner.
Designed by Jonathan Barnes Architecture and Design, the project
was presented with one of four Merit Awards that was given out during
the evening.
Located on Fourth Street in Columbus , this 11-unit residential
condominium project was recognized for successfully merging a turn-of-the-century
brick and timber warehouse with a new modern addition to the north.
The addition opens its interiors to the street with floor-to-ceiling
glass and full-width terraces at each of the residential floors,
providing panoramic views of the city. This contrasting and minimalist
approach is continued at the interior by exposing the heavy timber
framing and refinished maple wood floors in the existing building
and the concrete floor slabs and concrete masonry walls at the addition.
225 North Fourth offers an open house every Saturday at 12:00 pm
to 3:00pm and every Sunday at 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Private showings
can also be scheduled by calling 614.273.LOFT.
